This project may seem like it came out of left field as it was never originally intended to come to fruition. At the early stages of writing this series, I wrote Claimed at Dark with intentions of making a trilogy and concluding it there. I never imagined that it would have evolved into something more however upon outlining the original trilogy, it became quite clear that the story had a lot more girth to it. The reworked outline created a 6-part saga that grew from just an introductory novel, into the beast it is today. Even then, when all six parts were 100% planned, this project, in particular, had no place in the timeline. The world in which these characters live in is a vast one with more than just your average werewolves and vampires. In a world where these two species exist, there would have to be other things that go bump in the night or day. While writing Claimed Enchanted, the topic of Fairies and Elves was briefly introduced and something about that last-minute entry really stuck with me. It is the reason why I revisited the topic in book 4. Even then, the detail I added really felt like it needed more body and grit. It needed its own justification and its own footprint. Introducing the Elves as a behind the scenes, yet integral part of the overall story would have left more questions than answers. Connecting them to the events in book 6 would also need a larger spacing for clarification. That is how this beautiful story came to be its own entry into The Dark Rhodes Series. Not officially a sequel, this book acts as a Novella that will tie everything into place. Starting with the prologue of Book 2, where you learned how Sebastian broke ties with his maker, Faetful sets up the events for the epic conclusion due out 2018. I will be announcing the release date soon and hope you all enjoy the project as much as I do! Thanks again for the continued support for without you, this entire series wouldn't even exist. I am humbled by the experiences this has created and look forward to more in the future!
